Holiday-maker – Terms and conditions

1.0 Sand and Castle arrange bookings for the rental of ……………………........................................................................................... ("the Property") to another person ("the Holiday-maker").

2.0 The contract for a holiday rental shall be made between you and Sand and Castle for the property for which the booking is made.

3.0 A binding contract between the Holiday-maker and Sand and Castle shall be entered into on confirmation by Sand and Castleof a booking. On payment of the deposit, the conditions outlined in this document are deemed to have been accepted by the Holiday-maker.

4.0 Bookings and reservations shall be contractual when Sand and Castle receive a deposit of 25% of the rent. Sand and Castle will issue confirmation of the booking in writing or by e-mail.

5.0 The balance must be paid at least two calendar months prior to the start of the rental period. Non-payment of the balance on or before the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by you and the terms of condition 7 shall apply.

6.0 Holiday dates can be changed if the accommodation is available at the requested time and Sand and Castle agree to the change. In this event a handling charge of £20.00 will be payable.

7.0 In the event that you need to cancel a confirmed booking, this must be done in writing and a cancellation charge will be due as follows:

Cancellation up to 2 calendar months before the start date of the holiday	Full Refund
Cancellation up to 1 calendar month before the start date of the holiday	50% Refund
Cancellation up to 2 weeks before the start date of the holiday	0% Refund

8.0 Sand and Castle strongly advise the Holiday-maker to take out suitable insurance to avoid loss in the event of cancellation.

9.0 All payments shall be made payable to "Sand and castle" and sent to the following address:

Payments can be made online by credit or debit card, or by BACS payment. Please note that there is no charge for debit card payments but credit card payments will incur a 2.5% charge. This is the amount that Sand and Castle are charged for processing a transaction. There is no charge for payments made by cheque.

10.0 Rentals commence, unless otherwise notified, at 4.00pm (Unless otherwise stated by individual properties) on the day of arrival and end at 10am on the day of departure. (We may be able to arrange more agreeable times with you depending on time of year)

11.0 We regret that we have a strict no smoking policy.

12.0 Pets are welcomed by certain cottages. Each cottage page states if pets are welcome at that particular property. Pets should not be left unattended and should not be allowed in bedrooms or on furnishings.

13.0 The number of persons using the holiday accommodation shall not exceed the maximum number publicized by Sand and Castle on the web site. Holiday-makers must not assign or part with the possession of the holiday accommodation or any part of it, or anything contained within it or use it other than as a single dwelling for holiday occupation by the people whose names appear on and for the dates detailed on the booking form. Any breach of this agreement would allow Sand and Castle to revoke the booking without refund.
